Site Maintenance Help
In this section you'll find help for the most commonly used sections of the WSA administrative section. To the left are links to various help files for creating and maintaining Pages, Content, Resources, Hot Lists, and Nav Lists. To the right are links to additional information.

Page Components:  Each page on the public Web site is comprised of four types of components:

  • page
  • page sections
  • content items
  • elements

These components can be seen as analogous to a filing cabinet:

  • The Page is like the filing cabinet drawer. It is the largest container into which everything else fits. There is no real limit to the number of pages you can create, but logically organizing your content will allow you to present all your content while creating fewer pages.
  • Page Sections are like individual file folders. More than one page section can exist in each page, just as multiple file folders go into a file cabinet drawer.
  • Content Items are the individual sheets of paper in each folder. Multiple sheets of paper can go into each file folder, just as multiple content items can be stored in each page section.
  • Elements are like the words that are typed on each sheet of paper. Each content item can hold an unlimited number of elements.
